“Urban-Scaping” with Michele Usibelli

  • Two and a half day workshop September 19, 20 & 21, 2016
  • Location –Salsbury Avenue Inn, Cody WY 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 to noon.

The painting instruction fee of $375.00 does include: Painting instruction and tour of Cody to gather information about local architecture –The fee also includes: Breakfast at the Salsbury Avenue Inn and lunch all three days.   More details to follow.

Join Michele for 2 and half days painting the unique and beautiful western town of Cody, Wyoming. This workshop will focus on techniques in painting the effects of light on form in various situations resulting in masterful paintings. The “how to’s” in achieving dynamic and impressionistic paintings using painterly brushwork will be demonstrated daily. Color relationships, values, edges and temperatures of light and shadow will be discussed.

Usibelli’s Plein Air Painting Workshop is for painters who want to develop an understanding of the fundamentals of outdoor painting through demonstrations (in oil), discussions, practice and critique. The workshop will focus the artist on effectively capturing light, atmosphere and mood of the “townscape” while using strong composition and color harmony.
